Frequently asked questions

Answers to common California Live Scan questions.

Where do the results go?

Results are sent directly to the requesting agency listed on your BCIA 8016 form, not to the applicant, unless the agency specifies otherwise.

Do you provide the Live Scan form?

Most agencies provide the BCIA 8016 form with their ORI/OCA codes. We have blank versions for general use if needed—confirm with your agency first.

How long does it take?

Capture takes about 10–15 minutes. Processing time varies by agency workload and whether DOJ and/or FBI checks are requested.

Can you do out-of-state submissions?

We specialize in California Live Scan. For other states, ask us about ink FD-258 cards or channeler submissions depending on requirements.

Disclaimer: We are a private Live Scan provider and not a government agency. Eligibility, fees, and processing times are set by the requesting agency and the California DOJ.
